When You Should Go For A Pap Smear

When You Should Go For A Pap Smear

Let’s be real—many of us will book a wax, hair or nail appointment before we think about calling the gyno. But, today’s World Health Day and in honor of that, here’s your reminder that your vagina deserves a check-in. Vaginal health isn’t a back-burner priority because when your body whispers and you ignore it, it eventually screams. Here are 5 signs it’s time to stop stalling and book that appointment with your gyno—ASAP:

1. Spotting Between Periods or Bleeding After Sex This could signal cervical irritation, fibroids, or something more serious. Don’t wait. Get answers and peace of mind.

2. You’re Navigating Birth Control, Fertility, or Menopause Whether you’re planning a pregnancy or managing hot flashes, your gyno should be your go-to, not your last resort.

3. You’re Sexually Active and Haven’t Had an STI Test Routine screenings = self-respect. Stay safe, stay empowered.

4. It’s Been Over a Year Since Your Last Visit Even if everything feels fine, preventative care like Pap smears and breast exams matter. Don’t ghost your gyno.

5. Sex Feels… Off Pain, dryness, or discomfort during sex is not “just how it is.” Your pleasure matters. Your body should be a wet, welcoming place—not a mystery maze of discomfort.

I didn’t add vaginal infections because between 2010 and 2015 I stayed in the doctor’s office. Recurrent BV and yeast infections had me in a nonstop cycle—7 to 10 days on BV meds with no drinking or sex, only for the antibiotics to give me a yeast infection 🤯 Cue another 7 to 10 days on antifungals with the same restrictions. That merry-go-round had me searching for something better. That’s when I found the miracle mineral that gave birth to V Vitamins - which is a faster, safer and more effective treatment. As a Libra, I believe in balance. Sometimes you need your gyno. Other times, you can put healing in your own hands. Just remember: the best care is both natural and professional.

Here’s Your Challenge:  📅 Book your gyno appointment this week—even if it’s months out. 📲 Screenshot it, Post it to your story and tag us @VVitamins, so we can cheer you on. And if you need a natural reset while you wait? Try V Vitamins. Your coochie will thank you. 💗
